PEER REVIEW POLICY
All manuscripts submitted to Matheo: Jurnal Teologi/Kependetaan undergo a blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, relevance, and scholarly contribution to the fields of theology and pastoral ministry.
Manuscripts are evaluated based on their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, academic quality, originality, theological contribution, and significance for the church and society. Editors and reviewers provide constructive feedback to assist authors in improving their manuscripts.
REVIEW PROCESS
Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:
- The editor conducts a technical and administrative assessment of the submitted manuscript.
- Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded to the blind peer review process.
- Manuscripts that fail to meet the technical or administrative requirements may be returned to the author for revision or rejected.
- Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide recommendations to the editor.
- The editor communicates the review results and recommendations to the author along with a revision deadline.
- Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the editor and reviewers when necessary.
- Once accepted, the editor sends the final version to the author for approval before publication.
- Prior to publication, all accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting and layout editing.
PLAGIARISM CHECK
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin.
The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, excluding references and properly cited quotations. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the author for revision or rejected depending on the extent of the similarity detected.
PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
Matheo: Jurnal Teologi/Kependetaan is published twice a year.

There are no submission fees, review fees, or publication fees. All stages of submission, review, and publication are provided free of charge.
