Abstract

This study analyzes the role of the church in preventing stunting in Supiori Regency, Papua, through collaboration with health institutions and local government. The church serves as a center for nutrition and health education for the community. Church programs include nutrition counseling, health training, routine health checks, and premarital and postmarital classes, which significantly increase the congregation's awareness and knowledge of the importance of balanced nutrition to prevent stunting. This collaboration also includes policy advocacy to increase access to nutritious food and health services for low-income families. The results of the study indicate that this holistic and community-based approach is effective in reducing stunting rates, building healthier communities, and strengthening the role of the church as an agent of change in public health. Through effective collaboration between the church, health institutions, and local government, stunting rates in Supiori Regency can be significantly reduced, creating a healthier and more qualified generation and improving the welfare of the community as a whole.
