Isi Artikel Utama
Abstrak
This study aims to identify an effective model of church leadership in responding to religious intolerance in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with a constructive design, the research captures the responses of church leaders in areas prone to religious conflict. The findings show that church leadership integrating public theology and transformative leadership can serve as a driving force for a culture of peace and religious literacy in a pluralistic society. However, significant challenges are faced by church leaders, including internal resistance from congregants, limited resources, and socio-political pressures. Proposed strategies include tolerance education, digital literacy, interfaith collaboration, and the application of Pancasila values. This research enriches the discourse on practical theology and provides practical guidelines for church leaders in addressing religious radicalism in the digital era. Thus, this study recommends strengthening the role of the church as a social transformation agent to achieve fair interfaith harmony.
