PENDEKATAN HOLISTIK DALAM PEMBINAAN WARGA GEREJA UNTUK MENGINTERNALISASIKAN KONSEP GARAM DAN TERANG DUNIA

Abstrak

Church Community Development is an essential aspect of church life that aims to strengthen the faith and character of the congregation. One of the essential theological concepts in Church Community Development is the internalization of the role of salt and light of the world, based on the teachings of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew 5:13-16. This study examines the holistic implementation strategy in PWG to ensure that the congregation understands and lives this role. The research method used is a literature study involving analysis of literature related to Church Community Development and a holistic approach. The study results indicate that integrating theological education, character development, and social service is the key to internalizing the concept of salt and light of the world. In addition, the use of technology and digital media and the active involvement of church leaders are also crucial in supporting the development process. This approach allows the congregation to face challenges in Indonesia's multicultural and multireligious context and become agents of positive change in society. Thus, holistic and contextual Church Community Development can create a knowledgeable congregation, have strong character, and positively impact their environment, glorifying God through every aspect of life.
