Abstract
This study examines the role of forgiveness within the Christian context as a profound and influential concept on personal resilience. Given that forgiveness is considered essential for recovery and emotional and spiritual well-being, this study aims to explore how Christian teachings on forgiveness affect individuals' ability to recover from trauma and stress. The research method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach, primarily utilizing library research, focusing on the analysis of relevant literature to delve into the theological and psychological impacts of forgiveness. The findings indicate that forgiveness significantly promotes resilience by liberating individuals from the burden of negative emotions, enhancing skills to manage stress and trauma, and strengthening interpersonal relationships. This confirms that forgiveness not only plays a vital role in the spiritual context but also has practical implications in enhancing mental and psychosocial health.
