Abstract

This research aims to optimize the church's role in Society 5.0 by developing an innovative service model based on digital technology. The Digital Natives generation, which consists of Generation Z and Generation Alpha, has different spiritual and social needs than previous generations. They expect religious experiences that are interactive, relevant, and integrated with technology. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach, collecting data from various relevant literature sources. The research results show that churches can increase congregational involvement through developing mobile applications, social media, and streaming services for online worship. Critical challenges in integrating technology with church ministry include resistance to change, limited resources, and maintaining a balance between technology and face-to-face interactions. However, significant opportunities such as broader access for congregations and data collection to design more targeted programs can be exploited. The implementation of this model is expected to not only increase congregational involvement but also strengthen a more inclusive and dynamic spiritual community. This research makes a real contribution to optimizing the church's role in improving society's social and spiritual welfare in this digital era.
