PERAN LEMBAGA KEAGAMAAN DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN DI KALANGAN JEMAAT
Abstract
This study explores the role of religious institutions in supporting and developing entrepreneurship among their congregations, with a focus on church interventions in the economic empowerment of their members. A qualitative method was utilized to collect and analyze data from interviews with church leaders, entrepreneurial congregants, and participants in entrepreneurship programs, as well as surveys assessing the economic impact of these initiatives. The findings indicate that comprehensive support through training, mentorship, access to capital, and spiritual guidance significantly enhances the economic and social well-being of congregants. The study also emphasizes the importance of Biblical values in guiding ethical and sustainable entrepreneurial practices. Challenges such as the need for program adaptation to the economic and social diversity of congregants require more inclusive approaches. This research contributes to the literature on institutional economics and entrepreneurship, offering practical guidelines for religious institutions to design and implement effective entrepreneurship programs, and provides insights for stakeholders interested in collaborating with religious institutions on economic initiatives.
