MENGASIHI TUHAN DAN SESAMA SEBAGAI DASAR BERSAMA DALAM HERMENEUTIK KRISTEN
Abstract
This study explores the hermeneutics of love as a theological foundation for understanding and applying Scripture, particularly in Indonesia's multicultural and social contexts. Referring to the thoughts of Augustine, love for God and others becomes the primary principle in interpreting the Bible correctly. The hermeneutics of love functions not only as a theological framework but also as a practical approach to fostering interfaith dialogue, promoting social justice, and protecting the environment. In Indonesia's multireligious context, facing social challenges such as economic inequality and religious conflict, the hermeneutics of love enables the church to serve as an active agent of social transformation. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature study to analyze the application of the hermeneutics of love in contemporary contexts. Love for God and others is manifested in concrete actions to create a more inclusive, just, and harmonious society while also preserving the environment.
