Gereja, Ibadah, dan Iman: Sebuah studi deskriptif Strategi Penggembalaan GBI Sentral Tomang dalam Menumbuhkan Motivasi Beribadah Jemaat

Abstract

Worship Service is central to religious life in understanding the teachings adopted. Likewise, Christianity also puts worship as a means of conveying the gospel of the truth of Christ to the congregation. However, the congregation brings many other motivations when attending worship services that are not by the essence of worship. It is necessary to implement a pastoral strategy to fix and grow the right motivation for worship in the congregation. This study describes the strategies that the pastoral team can use to direct the right worship motivation in the congregation. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods through triangulation, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subject is GBI Sentral Tomang, West Jakarta, which will later become an example of pastoralism in general. The results showed that the pastoral pattern carried out by GBI Sentral Tomang was to include teaching motivational worship in discipleship, visiting, and conversation classes. Apart from that, the pastor and the pastoral team also approach the congregation, especially for those who have started to withdraw from church activities. The conclusion obtained is that pastoral care at GBI Sentral Tomang has succeeded in growing the congregation's active participation, as seen from the congregation's awareness to return to worship activities, service involvement, and management involvement.
