EKO-TEOLOGI JOHN CALVIN: DASAR KEKRISTENAN DALAM TINDAKAN EKOLOGI (SEBUAH RESPON KEKRISTENAN TERHADAP TINDAKAN EKOLOGI)

Sebuah pertanyan muncul bagaimana mungkin tindakan ekologi sumber daya 'eko-teologi' Kristen? Tidak dapat disangkal bahwa ada keterkaitan antara peran Kristen dalam krisis ekologis dunia. catatan perkembangan kemajuan peradaban manusia dan ilmu pengetahuan yang digerakkan oleh jiwa manusia dalam mengemban amanat budaya dalam Kejadian 1:28. Kritik tajam diberikan oleh para sosiolog, ekologi dan teolog, terhadap tindakan Barat dalam mengeksploitasi alam secara besar-besaran yang, tanpa diimbangi dengan melindungi alam itu sendiri, pada akhirnya mengakibatkan kerusakan dan pelupaan ekologis yang masif. Kerusakan ekologi sebenarnya adalah kehancuran umat manusia. Penulis, mencoba memberikan pendapat tentang bagaimana seharusnya Kekristenan mendukung tindakan ekologis berdasarkan eko-teologi John Calvin, seorang teolog Reformed yang jauh sebelumnya sudah meletakan dasar pendangan etika Kristen bagaimana seharusnya, kekeristenan mengelola dan memelihara alam ciptaan yang adalah berkat Allah bagi kesejahteraan manusia, sebagaimana pelaksanaan terhadap mandate budaya.
