Abstract

This community service is motivated by students' activity and low learning achievement in learning Christian Religious Education (PAK). Christian religious education is still seen as a lesson that is easy to understand and gets high marks. However, the facts on the ground are just the opposite. The value of Christian studies is shallow at SMP Negeri 147 Jakarta. The purpose of this Community Service is to find out the application of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model in increasing student activity and learning achievement in the learning process. The subjects of this study were 39 grade VII students in the odd semester of SMPN 147 Jakarta. The research method used is Classroom Action Research, with the implementation method being two cycles of Classroom Action research. The results of this study indicate that student activities and teacher performance have met the indicators with implementing Classroom Action Research (CAR) for two cycles. So the Group Investigation model is recommended to be applied in learning Christian Religious Education because it can increase student activity and achievement
