Abstract
TAKUT AKAN ALLAH DI TENGAH-TENGAH KETIDAKPASTIAN HIDUP MENURUT PENGKHOTBAH 12:8-14: SEBUAH PENDEKATAN NARASI TERHADAP KOHERENSI EPILOG PENGKHOTBAH. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan koherensi epilog Pengkhotbah dengan pendekatan narasi, sebab sejumlah sarjana Perjanjian Lama berpandangan epilog dan bagian lain Pengkhotbah ditulis oleh orang yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan narasi. Proses perumusan teori dengan eksegesis sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip penafsiran narasi gaya Sternberg. Unsur-unsur narasi meliputi penulis tersirat dan pembaca tersirat; sudut pandang; serta filling the gaps. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan Pengkhotbah ditulis oleh satu orang yang sama – termasuk bagian epilog – dan bentuk orang ketiga dalam epilog Pengkhotbah memiliki fungsi secara literatur, sehingga tidak dapat disebut sebagai hasil seorang editor di kemudian hari. Fungsi epilog tersebut adalah untuk menyampaikan pesan teologis Pengkhotbah yang telah disampaikan sejak bagian prolognya. Pesan teologis tersebut adalah umat Allah harus tetap takut akan Tuhan di tengah-tengah ketidakpastian hidup. Melalui penelitian ini pembaca kitab Pengkhotbah dapat meyakini koherensi pesan penulis kitab Pengkhotbah dalam menyuarakan sikap takut akan Tuhan. Bentuk teks sekaligus gaya sastranya mengkonfirmasi koherensi tersebut.
