PENGINTEGRASIAN ETIKA KRISTEN DALAM PENGABDIAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI SEMINAR BIOMEDIKA: MENGGAPAI KESEHATAN DAN KEMANUSIAAN YANG BERLANDASKAN NILAI-NILAI AGAMA

Abstrak

Life is a divine gift that holds sacred value and must be respected in all aspects, including healthcare. Advances in medical technology, such as artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, organ transplantation, and cloning, present new ethical challenges. The critical question is not merely whether these actions can be performed but whether they should be undertaken in alignment with moral values. Christian ethics, grounded in the authority of the Bible, provides a moral framework to uphold human dignity and balance technological innovation with faith-based principles.
This Community Service Program was carried out through a biomedicine seminar using lectures and group discussions involving the youth and teens of GBI Batu Penjuru. The seminar addressed ethical issues concerning the beginning and end of life, as well as medical decision-making from a Christian ethical perspective. The program aimed to educate participants to understand and apply Christian ethical principles in responding to biomedical developments. Christian ethics offers a solid moral foundation to ensure that medical and technological progress respects human dignity and fundamental rights.
