Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Edukasi : Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Kristen has used an open journal system (OJS) in the process of submitting and reviewing manuscripts. Submissions must be in accordance with the Author Guidelines and uploaded to http://sttbi.ac.id/journal/index.php/edukasi/user/register. If the manuscript does not meet the requirements, does not fit the template and cannot be downloaded properly, the manuscript will be returned to the author.

The manuscript is the original work and is independent of the author. Each new text will be assessed by one or more editors to determine the suitability of the topic with the Manajemen Pendidikan journal. Editor can reject a manuscript without a review if it has the same> 30%, educational content is insufficient, does not have clear objectives in education, the application and development of methodology is unclear, does not match the format, references are used less (minimum of 15 references) and not the latest , and the data presentation is unclear.

The Authors submitting a manuscript to Edukasi : Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Kristen need to assign the Copyright Transfer Agreement Form if accepted for further publication process.

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment stage will be provided to the Associate Editor to oversee the peer review process. All manuscripts must follow the peer review process and the author can request an explanation regarding the results of peer review within one month after the results are received. If a revision is required, the author must send the revised manuscript within 2 weeks. The final decision is taken by the Editor in Chief based on information obtained through a peer review process.

Decision type: Reject, Resend, Revise, Accept

Reject

After the peer review process, the manuscript cannot be accepted for publication in Edukasi : Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Kristen and has no chance for resubmission.

Resend

The results of the peer review indicate that the manuscript was not accepted and requires major revision, however, there is clear potential in the manuscript, and Edukasi : Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Kristen will consider the latest version of the manuscript. Authors can resubmit their manuscript in accordance with the results of the peer review. Submissions that have been sent back will go through the peer review stage with the same reviewer again if possible.

Revise

The manuscript requires changes before a final decision is made. Authors must improve their texts according to comments received from reviewers and editors, and the time period given for the revision process is 2 weeks. The revised script will go through further peer review and can undergo a revision process more than once. If the authors do not revise their manuscripts then, editors can refuse the manuscript to be published in Edukasi : Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Kristen.

Accept

Manuscripts can be accepted for publication in Edukasi : Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Kristen depending on the final version of the manuscript. This requires sub-editing changes according to our conditions. After the final inspection, acceptance is confirmed and the paper can be forwarded to the publisher for publication.

Manuscripts are sent as files created using word processing software (Microsoft Word, Open Office). It is not permitted to send files that cannot be changed (PDF format). Manuscripts are written using Times New Roman font on A4 size pages, with margins of 3 centimeters (left border) and 2 centimeters (right, top and bottom borders). The length of the manuscript, including the bibliography, is 15-20 pages. The home page of the manuscript must contain the manuscript title, author's name, name of the institution to which the author is affiliated, and email address.


The title is written in 14pt capital letters, bold and centered. The title is at most 15 words using Indonesian and/or English. The author's name, affiliation, and email address should be written in 12pt center-aligned font size. Especially for names printed in bold letters.

Abstracts are written in English and Indonesian, with a length of between 100-200 words in one paragraph. The abstract is written on the first page of the manuscript. The abstract must concisely state the aim of the manuscript, research issues/questions, methods, results, conclusions, and contributions. Keywords consist of 3 to 5 words. The manuscript's contents are written in font size 12 and 1.15 spacing.


Authors may not identify themselves directly or indirectly in the manuscript. Single authors may not use the pronouns "we," "us," or "me."
All pages must be numbered sequentially. Numbers from one to ten, except in tables and lists, must be spelled out when used as units or quantities (distance, weight, and measure). For example: three days, 3 kilometers, 30 years. All other figures are expressed numerically. The word percent in the text uses the word percent, while the symbol is used in tables and pictures.


Each manuscript should prioritize primary library sources. The proportion of library sources published over ten years is at least 60% of the total reference literature. The manuscript includes the following components:
Introduction: The introduction section must explain the rationale behind the research being written so that it can be justified why writing is an essential part of research in the field. The introduction must include the background of the problem, research concept, state of the art, formulation of objectives, and research benefits.
Research methods: This section explicitly explains how the research was conducted. The writing is organized effectively so that readers can get a complete and clear picture of the materials, tools, and stages used and carried out to answer research questions. The writing is done clearly with methods that can be easily replicated, describing the design, data, and data sources, operational definitions of research variables/focus, and analysis techniques.
Research results and discussion: The research results describe directly what was observed and obtained. This section narrates the research results without providing interpretation or evaluation. Discussion of research results must be able to interpret the meaning of the research results (whether they meet expectations or not). The discussion must follow the research objectives while still referring to the literature review that has been developed.
Conclusions and Recommendations: The concluding section briefly summarizes and discusses the research results. Conclusions from research results must be following the research objectives. The article also needs to explain further the implications of the research results, along with the limitations of the research conducted (both scope and weaknesses) and appropriate suggestions for developing research in the area discussed.


TABLES and FIGURES

Authors must pay attention to the following general requirements.

Each table figure (graph) must be included in the body of the article.
Reference to each table figure must be made in the manuscript.
Each table and figure must be given a sequential number, a title corresponding to the table or figure's contents, and the quotation's source (if relevant).
Tables, table titles, table bodies, figures, and figure titles are written in Times New Roman font 11, single-spaced.
Captions on tables and/or images are included at the bottom or the right side of the image in font 10.

QUOTATIONS and REFERENCES

The manuscript citation style follows APA style 7, especially for referencing and presenting references in the reference list. Writing citations and references using Mendeley, Zotero, or other reference management software is recommended.

Reference

The reference list is arranged in alphabetical order.
Structure of each reference: author's name, title of article or book title, name of journal or publisher, volume, number, year of publication.
Journal names cannot be abbreviated.
The proportion of literature references published in the last ten years is at least 60%. Using library sources from final project repositories, student scientific journals, or blogs is not permitted. References are required to use Mendeley, Zotero, or other reference applications.
The style used in writing articles is APA Style.

In submitting the manuscript to the journal, the authors certify that:

  • They are authorized by their co-authors to enter into these arrangements.
  • The work described has not been formally published before, except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, thesis, or overlay journal.

  • That its publication has been approved by all the author(s) and by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – of the institutes where the work has been carried out.

Other data publishing licenses may be allowed as exceptions (subject to approval by the editor on a case-by-case basis) and should be justified with a written statement from the author, which will be published with the article.

 

Open Data and Software Publishing and Sharing
The journal strives to maximize the replicability of the research published in it. Authors are thus required to share all data, code or protocols underlying the research reported in their articles. Exceptions are permitted but have to be justified in a written public statement accompanying the article.
Datasets and software should be deposited and permanently archived inappropriate, trusted, general, or domain-specific repositories (please consult http://service.re3data.org and/or software repositories such as GitHubGitLabBioinformatics.org, or equivalent). The associated persistent identifiers (e.g. DOI, or others) of the dataset(s) must be included in the data or software resources section of the article. Reference(s) to datasets and software should also be included in the reference list of the article with DOIs (where available). Where no domain-specific data repository exists, authors should deposit their datasets in a general repository such as ZENODODryadDataverse, or others.
Small data may also be published as data files or packages supplementary to a research article, however, the authors should prefer in all cases a deposition in data repositories.
