Pelayanan Pastoral bagi Lanjut Usia yang Stress di Panti Werdha Wisma Mulia Jakarta Barat
Abstract
Being elderly is a certainty for all human beings. This period will be a joy if it is enjoyed together with loved ones. However, when old age is spent in the Werdha Panti, then stress is generated. The purpose of this study was to explore pastoral care for the elderly who are experiencing stress at the Wisma Mulia Panti Werdha - West Jakarta. The researcher uses a qualitative case study method, namely research through a particular case or phenomenon that exists in society which is carried out in depth to study the background, circumstances, and interactions that occur. Based on this methodology, the researcher collected data by means of observation, and interviews. The results showed that pastoral care for the elderly who experience stress in the nursing home is by paying attention and listening to all complaints of elderly problems there, such as health problems, physical conditions, economics, providing support, praying either individually or together. As well as paying attention to the needs of the elderly, such as maintaining the health and nutrition of the elderly and curing diseases of the elderly. Building good relations/communication with all the elderly Directing the elderly to live a disciplined life, both in maintaining cleanliness, health and spirituality. Reducing stress and loneliness experienced by the elderly at the Werdha Mulia orphanage. The elderly are better cared for physically and spiritually so that they can regrow their spirit of life, physical health, cognitive (positive thoughts), effective (attitudes, behavior) and other positive things.
